Speaker: Rep. Lindsey Daugherty – District 29
Bio: Lindsey Daugherty is an attorney with Mansorian Law Group and a 2020 Democratic candidate for District 29 of the Colorado State House, representing Arvada and a small section of Westminster.
The Republican opponent running for House District 29 is an employee of Farmers Insurance. As trial attorneys, we have a duty to protect the people of Colorado, and therefore must ensure no elected official be sympathetic to predatory insurance companies and their business interests.
As a personal injury lawyer, Lindsey witnesses firsthand the influence large corporations have had on our state, often at the expense of everyday Coloradoans. She launches her campaign this summer to combat this alarming trend in local politics.
Lindsey graduated from Thompson Valley High School in Loveland, Colorado before attending the University of Northern Iowa on a soccer scholarship. After graduating in three years, Lindsey returned to Colorado to attend law school at the University of Denver.
While in school, Lindsey interned for former Congressman Bruce Braley in the House of Representatives, former Senator Tom Harkin on the Health, Education, Labor, and Pension Committee investigating for-profit colleges, and clerked for the White House Domestic Policy under the Obama Administration. Early on, she
came to understand the vital role communities play in our electoral process. Lindsey holds “For the people, by the people” as the foundation of her pursuit to hold public office.
In her free time, Lindsey enjoys mountain biking, runs triathlons, and recently completed her first full Ironman in Zurich, Switzerland.
