HEALTHY ADAPTATIONS TO ONLINE INTERACTIONS
Leading in the Time of Zoom
June 24, 2020
Going on “Day 500” of stay-at-home and the Zoom calls aren’t getting any easier? Why can’t we seem to overcome the exhaustion online communication has on our wellbeing?
In this 75-min virtual workshop, you will learn to embrace mediated communication (a fancy phrase for online communication) by focusing on ways to adapt your ideas, boundaries and interactions from the office to the screen. Communication specialist Dr. Kelsey Minnick will walk us through:
- “Listening vs. Hearing” – combat ineffective awareness
- How emotions affect our communication
- Strategies for setting personal/professional boundaries in the online realm
In a time of social distancing and expanded models for working from home, this workshop will provide the tools and framework to develop healthy boundaries, lead your team virtually, and align your communication practices with your personal leadership style and voice.
Dr. Kelsey Minnick is a Ph.D. and educator specializing in communication and wellness, particularly as it applies to interpersonal and professional settings. By weaving together academic theory, real-life experience, and holistic wellness, you can begin to tap into a wealth of knowledge and truth around what it takes to be a more effective communicator for yourself and for your relationships. This is Dr. Minnick’s priority—better communication in life, health, and business.
