The Best Events Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month

At TARRA, we talk a lot about how important it is for women to invest in their professional development, and this is especially true for Latina women, who are making significant contributions to the U.S. economy. Between 2010 and 2021, Latinas’ impact on the economy grew by over 50%, totaling an incredible $1.3 trillion, according to new research from California Lutheran University and UCLA. Much of this growth comes from second and third-generation Latinas, who are now in the workforce.

Despite representing just 9% of the U.S. population, Latinas accounted for 30% of the growth in the labor force during that same period. Their real income increased by 46%, reflecting their expanding influence across industries. However, Latina women still face challenges, as they remain overrepresented in low-wage jobs and earn only 57 cents for every dollar earned by non-Hispanic white men. As Latinas continue to drive more of the U.S. economy, now is the time to celebrate and support Latinx businesses. This National Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor the resilience, innovation, and contributions of the Latinx community. From small business owners to industry leaders, Latinas are shaping the future of entrepreneurship and creating lasting economic impact. To help you engage with and support these incredible businesses, we’ve curated a list of the best events happening this month in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
