TARRA invites you into the world of Daisy Patton as she unveils her latest exhibit “Put Me Back Like They Found Me”, an unflinching portrait of the victims of forced sterilization practices performed on women of marginalized communities starting in the early 20th century and continuing to present day.
Patton and guest speaker Briana Simmons will guide attendees through an exclusive tour. Simmons is the Black Maternal Health, Healing, & Joy Coordinator for Soul 2 Soul Sisters, a Black womxn led, racial justice non-profit organization that centers the lives and experiences of Black womxn. She will discuss the history of Patton’s topic and address questions from the community.
The tour will be followed by an intimate dinner at the award-winning restaurant, Annette, with Annette Chef Caroline Glover.
